グラフィックデザイナー・加納大輔による作品集。2026年2月4日から3月1日までブックショップ＆ギャラリー「Tiger Mountain」で開催された同名の展覧会に合わせて刊行された本書は、加納がこれまでに手掛けた13冊の書籍を、本人の解説とともに紹介する一冊です。

それぞれの元となる出版物の紙質、印刷手法、書体、レイアウトフォーマットを再利用しつつ、多様な印刷技術と用紙を組み合わせて一冊のボリュームへと再構築されています。ここではフォーマットが意図的に入れ替えられており、たとえば『The Eyes of the Wind Pocket Tour Book 2022–2024』の枠組みが『NEUTRAL COLORS 4 MAKING MAGAZINE』に適用され、逆に後者の枠組みが前者に適用されるといった試みがなされています。

モダニズム以降のグラフィックデザインが、規格化され共有された素材の選択に裏打ちされた「ある種の公共性」の上で機能してきたという前提に立ち、本作はグラフィックデザインそのものの「操作的な機能」を明らかにすることを目指して制作されました。互換性や並べ替えによって生じる「ミスディレクション（誤誘導）」を通じて、細部に至るまで緻密に設計されたプロセスの中に潜む断層を浮き彫りにしています。

A collection of works by graphic designer Daisuke Kano. Published to accompany the exhibition of the same title, held at the bookshop and gallery “Tiger Mountain” from 4 February to 1 March 2026, this volume presents thirteen books Kano has designed to date, accompanied by his commentary. Reusing the paper stocks, printing methods, typefaces, and layout formats of each original publication, the works are reassembled into a single volume using varied printing techniques and papers. The formats are deliberately interchanged: the framework of Neutral Colors is applied to The Eyes of the Wind Pocket Tour Book 2022–2024, while that of The Eyes of the Wind is applied to NEUTRAL COLORS 4 MAKING MAGAZINE.
Based on the premise that graphic design since modernism has operated upon a certain degree of publicness—grounded in the selection of standardized, shared materials—this work was produced with the aim of revealing the operative function of graphic design itself. Through misdirection generated by interchangeability and rearrangement, it brings to light the fault lines within processes otherwise meticulously designed down to the finest detail.
